Who is the ESL Coach?
Well, its me - Eric!
I'm a Canadian living in Saskatoon<, Saskatchewan with my wonderful wife and 2 fantastic kids. My family is pretty much the most important thing in the world to me.
I've lived and traveled in almost every part of Canada which is a country that I truly love.
- I am very lucky to know that Canada is much more than Niagara Falls and the Rocky Mountains.
- It is also much more than winter and hockey! Although both of those are great!
- Canada is an amazing place with wonderful history, fantastic nature, and incredible people.
I have been teaching English as a second Language for about 15 years, and have a Masters degree in TESL. In my time as an English teacher I’ve taught
- in private language schools
- in public schools from elementary to high school
- in university Academic English Programmes (that is what I do now)
- manage a University Computer Assisted Language Learning Lab
I am very lucky and have been able to travel to many wonderful places around the world.
- I've lived in Central America and Japan - In fact I went to elementary school in El Salvador and my daughter was born in Japan.
- I've traveled around Cent/South America, Asia, and Europe
- I've traveled for fun, for work, and on volunteer projects
I've also studied two languages other than English (Spanish and Japanese) and I know that learning a new language:
- is hard work
- takes time
- is a great way to meet new and interesting people
- can really help us understand our world better
- should be enjoyable and interesting to get the best results
I set up esl-coach.com to:
- give you a fun, friendly, and easy place to practice and develop your English
- give me a place to meet interesting people from around the world
